R3 welcomes John Snyder

4 September 2012, Fort Walton Beach, FL. R3 is pleased to announce the addition of John Snyder to the company.  John retired from the U.S. Navy in 2012 having culminated his service as the Force Master Chief for Naval Education and Training Command after over 28 years of service.  A career submariner, he has extensive experience and expertise in the operation, maintenance, training and administration of naval nuclear propulsion plants.  He served as a nuclear plant operator and supervisor on one ballistic missile and three fast attack submarines, and has deployed to such diverse environments as the North and South Atlantic Ocean, Indian Ocean, Mediterranean Sea, Arabian Sea and Arabian Gulf.  John was selected for the Command Master Chief program in 2004 and served tours as the Command Master Chief of the Submarine Learning Center and the Naval Personnel Development Command.  Coupled with his final tour as the Force Master Chief for Naval Education and Training Command, these assignments as the senior enlisted service member for three large training organizations enabled his unparalleled senior executive leadership and Navy training experience.

He is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy, Command Leadership School Command Master Chief Course and the National Defense University “KEYSTONE” Course for Senior Enlisted Joint Professional Military Education.  He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Excelsior College.  John’s military decorations include the Legion of Merit and three awards of the Meritorious Service Medal.  He will be overseeing the institutional manpower assessment of Naval EOD Technology  Division’s Technical Support Detachment as R3 provides support to enable this expeditionary explosive exploitation capability become a program of record and achieve full operational capability.
