R3 welcomes Dr. Ted Dyke

R3 welcomes aboard Dr. Ted Dyke.  He previously worked as a Senior Analyst in support of the Doctrine Support Team at the Joint Warfighting Center (JWFC), US Joint Forces Command in Suffolk, Virginia.   Dr. Dyke is well versed in joint doctrine, training and exercises. He has been instrumental in developing joint, multinational, and service Counter-IED and Attack the Network Doctrine, specifically serving as a lead author of the new Joint Publication JP 3-15.1, Counter-IED Operations and the USJFCOM Handbook series on Counter-IED Operations, Editions 5 and 6.  He also authored the USJFCOM Handbook on Attack the Network Operations and co-authored the USJFCOM Handbook on Armed Private Security Contractors in Contingency Operations.  He was also key to developing joint C-IED Universal Joint Task Lists (UJTL) and joint TTPs used in the various level Mission Rehearsal Exercises and Culminating Training Events.   He authored the UJTL-based C-IED tasks for the Joint Staff’s Combatant Commander’s Training Guide and the Joint Task Force Headquarters Training Guide.  These tasks provide specific instructions to commanders and staffs in the planning, organizing and execution of C-IED operations.  His work with C-IED Exercise Design and Integration enabled success of the first C-IED Integrated Process Team which introduced C-IED activities to the JWFC exercise program.

A retired Army officer, Ted has military experience in strategic and tactical intelligence analysis to include planning, organizing, training and directing opposing forces for brigade, division, corps, and theater exercises.  He also is well versed in the design and development of service, joint, and multinational training materials for theater wide programs and was the director of intelligence operations on two joint task forces.

Ted’s formal education includes Bachelor Degrees in Political Science and English from Fordham University as well as a Juris Doctor Degree from the Fordham School of Law.  He is also a graduate of the United States Army Command and General Staff College.
