The Order of Saint Maurice is awarded by the National Infantry Association and the Chief of Infantry of the United States Army. Recipients must have demonstrated a significant contribution in support of the Infantry and must represent the highest standards of integrity, moral character, professional competence, and dedication to duty. The award is named after Saint Maurice, the leader of the Roman Theban Legion in the 3rd century. R3 is proud to recognize Scott Russell’s receipt of this award for his conspicuous contribution to the U.S. Army Infantry during service as Deputy Chief, Counter-IED Branch in International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) Headquarters, Kabul, Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF).

Navy Recruiting Command Visit
Marc Tranchemontagne and Randy Packard (R3) meet with Master Chiefs Howard and Nesbitt from the Navy Recruiting Command. The Master Chiefs oversee the Navy’s Diver and EOD recruiting programs, respectively, and left informational materials with R3 for educational use.
Hampton Roads Military Advisory Involvement
Robert Pizzini from R3 meets with Congressman J. Randy Forbes at a Hampton Roads military advisory meeting. Congressman Forbes’ is in his fifth full term representing the Fourth Congressional District of Virginia. He was first elected in 2001 during a special election. In the 112th Congress, Congressman Forbes serves as the Chairman of the House Armed Services Readiness Subcommittee, including oversight of Seapower and Expeditionary Forces. Bob Pizzini leads R3’s support to U. S. Joint Forces Command counter-IED and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Road to War preparations. Congressman Forbes is actively involved in maintaining a robust joint Warfighting presence in Hampton Roads and JFCOM’s role in training deploying staffs in defeating IEDs is a critical component of this continuity.
