R3 named to San Diego Business Journal’s Fastest Growing Private Companies list

SAN DIEGO, May 29, 2013 – The annual list of San Diego’s Fastest Growing Private Companies has been announced. The San Diego Business Journal is in its 10th year of producing this prestigious listing. The wide variety of companies making this list represent the vitality and expansion being seen throughout San Diego’s reinvigorated economy and R3 is excited to be included amongst so many quality companies.

fastestgrowing-01-300x182The list, along with a showcase of the top 10 companies, will be published in a special section on July 15th and the organizations will be honored at a special private reception on July 11th.

To be considered, organizations are required to have generated revenues in excess of $200,000 in 2010, the starting point for the comparison. The financial details of each organization’s business operations in 2010, 2011 and 2012 were reviewed. The information was extensively analyzed and verified by CPA attestations. Additionally, businesses were required to be San Diego-based, independent and privately held; but, not a division or subsidiary of another organization, public or private.

 

 

R3 welcomes Dr. Ted Dyke

R3 welcomes aboard Dr. Ted Dyke.  He previously worked as a Senior Analyst in support of the Doctrine Support Team at the Joint Warfighting Center (JWFC), US Joint Forces Command in Suffolk, Virginia.   Dr. Dyke is well versed in joint doctrine, training and exercises. He has been instrumental in developing joint, multinational, and service Counter-IED and Attack the Network Doctrine, specifically serving as a lead author of the new Joint Publication JP 3-15.1, Counter-IED Operations and the USJFCOM Handbook series on Counter-IED Operations, Editions 5 and 6.  He also authored the USJFCOM Handbook on Attack the Network Operations and co-authored the USJFCOM Handbook on Armed Private Security Contractors in Contingency Operations.  He was also key to developing joint C-IED Universal Joint Task Lists (UJTL) and joint TTPs used in the various level Mission Rehearsal Exercises and Culminating Training Events.   He authored the UJTL-based C-IED tasks for the Joint Staff’s Combatant Commander’s Training Guide and the Joint Task Force Headquarters Training Guide.  These tasks provide specific instructions to commanders and staffs in the planning, organizing and execution of C-IED operations.  His work with C-IED Exercise Design and Integration enabled success of the first C-IED Integrated Process Team which introduced C-IED activities to the JWFC exercise program.

A retired Army officer, Ted has military experience in strategic and tactical intelligence analysis to include planning, organizing, training and directing opposing forces for brigade, division, corps, and theater exercises.  He also is well versed in the design and development of service, joint, and multinational training materials for theater wide programs and was the director of intelligence operations on two joint task forces.

Ted’s formal education includes Bachelor Degrees in Political Science and English from Fordham University as well as a Juris Doctor Degree from the Fordham School of Law.  He is also a graduate of the United States Army Command and General Staff College.

R3 welcomes Jerry Shelton

Jerry Shelton joined R3 in January after a 30 year career in the United States Air Force as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal technician. Rising to the top enlisted rank of Chief Master Sergeant, he held distinction as the Air Force’s most senior EOD technician, “The Master Blaster.” During his EOD career, he served in a variety of challenging operational and staff assignments across joint, multinational, special operations, and service headquarters. With nine overseas deployments and six overseas assignments, in European and Pacific theaters as well as Iraq and Afghanistan, Jerry has led unexploded ordnance incidents and counter-IED operations globally. While serving aboard Naval EOD Technical Division at Indian Head, MD, he was Superintendent of the Air Force Detachment, and Air Force representative to the Department of Defense Military Technology Acceptance Board (MTAB) responsible for approval of EOD tools/equipment and procedures. His last assignment was Command EOD Functional Manager for United States Air Forces Central (USAFCENT), Shaw AFB, SC as the Subject Matter Expert to USAFCENT on EOD operations, wartime contingency plans, and policy. As Senior Enlisted Leader, he provided guidance, direction, and mentorship to more than 200 deployed active duty, Guard and Reserve Airmen within the EOD, civil engineering and contracting specialties as the Directorate’s Chief Enlisted Manager.

Jerry’s personal awards include the Bronze Star and the Air Force Combat Action Medal. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Studies from University of Maryland, Adelphi, MD, a Professional Manager’s Certificate from the Community College of the Air Force, Montgomery, AL. He was the honor graduate of Class 122, U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy at Newport, RI. Due to his extensive background in EOD operations and joint service expertise, he will be invaluable to our ongoing support across multiple programs to include Naval EOD Technology Division. We are excited to have Jerry join the R3 team.
