R3 is proud to be a new member of the National Association of Ordnance Contractors (NAOC). NAOC was established in 1995 as a non-profit organization and membership is open to all companies, domestic and internationally.
NAOC’s objective is to act as a unified industry voice representing the issues facing its membership in the rapidly expanding business of military munitions response services and related services globally.
The membership of NAOC promotes efficient, quality project execution and safety for both the workforce and the public through the collaboration in the development and application of technology, guidance and regulations. With 21 Founding Members, who were unexploded ordnance (UXO) service providers, today’s membership consists of over 70 companies representing multiple facets of the military munitions industry.
Mark Sanders and Bill Brown attended the NAOC Annual General Membership Meeting from 6 – 8 Dec, 2016 at the Vinoy Renaissance Hotel in St. Petersburg, FL. This annual conference provided R3 the opportunity to attend workshops, network with other contractors, and participate in discussions relating to the munitions response industry including representatives from Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army (ODASA) for Environment, Safety and Occupational Health (ESOH), Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Naval Ordnance Safety & Security Activity (NOSSA), US Army Corp of Engineers (USACE), Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC), and others.
