Craig Smith
Craig Smith joined the R3 team in 2020, filling the role of Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Training and Operations Subject Matter Expert. He leads, manages, and oversees numerous US government and NATO contracts encompassing all facets of training, operations, and requirements. He was born in Independence, MO, and retired from the Navy after more than 35 years of service as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Enlisted Technician and ultimately EOD Naval Officer.
He served in a variety of assignments primarily focusing on EOD operations and training. His EOD Officer tours of duty included OIC EODMU SIX Detachment TEN, Training and Materiel Officer, EODTEU ONE, EOD Training Officer, MARFPCOM and NECC, Test and Evaluation Officer, EODTEU TWO, Readiness and Training Officer, EODMU TWO, Chief Staff Officer EODGRU TWO, Executive Officer, EODTEU TWO, Explosive Research Directorate, Naval Special Warfare Development Group, and Commanding Officer EODTEU TWO. His awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal with “V”, Joint Service Commendation Medal (2), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (10), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (4), and various campaign, service medals, and unit awards.
Craig earned a BA with honors in Management from the American Military University.
