R3 Named to National Association of Ordnance Contractors Board

R3 is pleased to have been selected by the National Association of Ordnance Contractors (NAOC) member companies to represent the organization as a Board Member for 2018-2019. Eleven Directors are elected by the more than 70 NAOC member companies at the annual membership meeting. NAOC was established in 1995 as a non-profit organization to act as a unified industry voice representing the issues facing its membership in the rapidly expanding business of military munitions response services.

The 21 founding members were UXO service companies. Over the years, membership has expanded to include companies that provide and perform ancillary services to include geophysical services, detection equipment, analytical laboratories, regulatory support and related environmental/engineering services. Our support to NAOC complements our longstanding role with the National Defense Industrial Association EOD Committee and our support to organizations facing unexploded ordnance threats.

R3 Sponsors Scott Dayton EOD Memorial 5K Event

R3 was proud to be a Master Technician Sponsor the Scott Dayton Memorial 5k Run / Walk on Saturday, November 18.  The enormously successful event hosted by Green Flash Brewing company had over 950 participants.  EOD Technicians, former Shipmates, friends, and family of EODCS Scott Dayton from across the country attended the event.

Opening ceremonies included remarks from VA Senator Bill DeSteph and VA Congressman Scott Taylor followed by the National Anthem sung by Country Music singer and former Navy EOD Technician Brian Grilli.  The run commenced with an amazing F-18 Hornet flyover in the missing man formation.   It closed with hugs, storytelling, laughter, tears; the kind of fellowship only found in an incredible community like Explosive Ordnance Disposal.

R3 Sponsors Scott Dayton EOD Memorial 5K

R3 is proud to be a sponsor for the Scott Dayton EOD Memorial 5K on Saturday, November 18th, 2017 at Green Flash Brewery in Virginia Beach.

Senior Chief Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technician Scott Dayton was a member of the Navy’s elite bomb squad. Scott was the first American killed in action while conducting combat operations in Syria on Thanksgiving Day, 2016. The immense contribution by Scott and the many brave EOD warriors that have given their lives before him in defense of our nation is a sacrifice we must never forget.

The EOD mission is to enable special operations around the globe by clearing the battlefield of explosive hazards within any environment.

Proceeds from this race will go to benefit the EOD Warrior Foundation, an organization whose mission is to disarm the challenges of the EOD family by providing support and compassion to every individual they serve. Since its inception, they have supported over 150 combat injured EOD technicians, placed 326 names on the EOD Memorial Wall, provided 660 scholarships, and supported hundreds of families worldwide. Additionally, the foundation enables wounded warriors, their caregivers, and Gold Star families to attend therapeutic healing retreats. None of this is possible without the support from our communities.
