Ryan Bedner joined R3 in May 2023 as a Strategic Advisor and worked on the MESF portfolio as a subject matter expert. Ryan is currently R3’s Program Manager for the Ready Relevant Learning (RRL) Fiscal Year 2024 Content Conversion for Steelworker and Explosive Ordnance Disposal Rating and the RRL Content Conversion for Navy Diver Rating.
Ryan retired from the Navy after 28 years of service. His first two tours were as a surface warfare officer serving as Damage Control Assistant/First Lieutenant in MCM Rotational Crew FOXTROT (USS ARDENT, USS GLADIATOR, and USS DEXTROUS) and as Navigation Officer in USS MAHAN. His EOD assignments included: Deputy Director/Executive Officer, Center for EOD and Diving; EOD Staff Officer on the Joint Staff; Executive Officer, Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal; Operations Officer, EOD Mobile Unit ELEVEN; Officer in Charge, EOD Mobile Unit FIVE Detachment FIVE ONE, Sasebo, Japan; EOD Staff Officer, Commander Carrier Group SEVEN; and Officer in Charge, EOD Mobile Unit ELEVEN Detachment Three One.
Ryan earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the U.S. Naval Academy and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Webster University.
