Mark Sanders (R3) and Gene Squires meet with Congressman Darrell Issa (R, California 49^th District) and Congressman Rick Crawford (R, Arkansas 1^st District) about the service and sacrifice of Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) technicians and how this high-demand low-density force is critical to countering the use of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) as strategic weapons of influence. Both Congressmen previously served our nation in uniform as Army EOD technicians and are working to ensure the preservation of both capability and capacity of the joint service EOD force beyond Operations New Dawn (Iraq) and Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan).

R3 was a proud sponsor of this event which provided an opportunity to enjoy one of the most spectacular biking tracks in America, while supporting our Wounded EOD Warriors and their families. All proceeds supported the Wounded EOD Warrior Foundation which funds and supports military EOD families caring for their loves ones at military medical facilities across the country. The resources provided to the families are above and beyond the budgetary constraints of the Department of Defense and the Department of Veterans Affairs. The resources of the WEODWF are entirely obtained through donations and fund-raising events. 

R3’s Neil Marshall was one of the many riders who completed the 200 mile, 2-day bike ride from Santa Monica, CA down the coast to Liberty Station in San Diego.
