Order of Saint Maurice Award

The Order of Saint Maurice is awarded by the National Infantry Association and the Chief of Infantry of the United States Army.  Recipients must have demonstrated a significant contribution in support of the Infantry and must represent the highest standards of integrity, moral character, professional competence, and dedication to duty.  The award is named after Saint Maurice, the leader of the Roman Theban Legion in the 3rd century. R3 is proud to recognize Scott Russell’s receipt of this award for his conspicuous contribution to the U.S. Army Infantry during service as Deputy Chief, Counter-IED Branch in International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) Headquarters, Kabul, Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF).

Both Congressmen previously served our nation in uniform as Army EOD technicians and are working to ensure the preservation of both capability and capacity of the joint service EOD force beyond Operations New Dawn (Iraq) and Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan).
