R3 Participates in 2021 EOD Warrior Foundation Dedication Cycling Series

R3’s Rich Hastings and Jeff Walker participated in the 2021 EOD Warrior Foundation (EODWF) Dedication Cycling Series ride held in Williamsburg, VA along the Capital Trail. The ride served as the Tidewater region kickoff event for the cycling series in addition to the October 2021 ride planned for Ft. Story.

This event is part of the overall EODWF virtual ride held from May to November for riders of all categories, bicycle types, family, and friends to challenge themselves in attaining 343 miles in remembrance of the 343 EOD Technicians honored on the EOD Memorial Wall.

It was great to catch up with old EOD warriors, friends, and shipmates for a noble cause and to enjoy time together.

R3 receives EODTEU ONE Instructor Contract

R3 was awarded a $26.9 million, four-year, 42-person EOD instructor support contract at EOD Training and Evaluation Unit ONE in San Diego.  The support entails high-risk training and instructor support across all EOD mission areas, unmanned undersea systems, homemade explosives, and virtual reality training modalities.  The training is accomplished in San Diego, Darwin Wash EOD training center at NAWS China Lake, CA, Hawaii, and Guam.

R3’s win is alongside our teammates Point One, Orca Maritime, and Peraton who provide critical capabilities to the team.  Gene Rathgeber, R3’s Program Manager, said “We are humbled to be chosen for this support amongst the other vendors. Considering this was a best-value award, we are even more pleased to be recognized in this manner.  Finally, we are appreciative of our team of quality instructors that set the stage for this selection.”
